It's Sister # 3's Birthday!

Sister # 3's First Birthday (from left): Sister #2, the Birthday Girl, and Me

My middle sister's (#3) birthday falls in the first week of November and is the official kick-off of "birthday season" in my family.

About 15 birthdays will happen before Christmas!

The photo at top is of Sister # 3's first birthday. We had a big party for her with about 15 first cousins, 3 aunts, parents and grandma.

As you can see she is sitting on a new tricycle. Maybe you can also detect me trying to touch it.

But this baby sister wasn't having it. She kept an iron-grip on the handles.

Every time I sweetly asked her, "Can I see your tricycle for a minute?"

She screamed out, "No!"

She held on to all of her gifts and wouldn't let me touch them, until she fell asleep.

Baby Sister was quite possessive back then, but she's outgrown those ways. She's actually a very generous, kind, thoughtful, gracious, and humble person today.

I just wanted to tease her a little bit--and wish her a very Happy Birthday!
